This version is direct from research.att.com and newer than any other
version you can find on e.g. prep.ai.mit.edu.
The only ugly thing in the port is the conversion of libF77.a and libI77.a
to libf2c.a. The extra directory and Makefiles is by me. The f77 is also
pretty heavily hacked by me and Rich Murphy (rich@lamprey.utmb.edu),
but I think it is reasonably nicely done.
